Job Title:
Engineer, Software Configuration Management (SCM)
Location:
Mclean, VA
Mclean, Virginia based consumer electronics and entertainment content provider is seeking a talented and experienced (2 - 5 years) software configuration management engineer to join our team. This opportunity includes defining our SCM strategy, developing software build processes and managing our software test lab.
Requirements:
- Expertise in developing / implementing configuration management scripts to manage software releases
- Experience in SCM tracking, SCM system applications and administration
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Perl, Expect) desirable
- Familiarity or expertise in programming C / C++
- Must be a team player who can communicate succinctly and work well with others
- Bachelor degree in related field (CE, CS) is required
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain an SCM Plan; manage SCM policies, environment and repository
- Provide SCM support and feedback to software developers and hardware engineering teams
- Define test cases and plans to verify operation of medial platforms and integration behavior with back-end subscriber management systems
- Document and track software defects and assist engineering teams in replicating identified defects
- Develop or utilize third party tools for stress testing and performance measurement
- Perform compliance and interoperability testing for DLNA related protocols
- Enforce and define quality standards
